C4Real is the winner of an AVA Digital Awards; the competition for digital professionals in 2020. The jury evaluated 2500 entries from all over the world and rewarded the unique VR application Achmea Metropolis, made by C4Real, with a score of 90 to 100 points.
This won the project a platinum AVA Digital Award. A remarkable achievement. C4Real is the only Dutch winner in the category Augmentations/Virtual Reality.

Visualize the complexity of the entire IT landscape by developing a concept and solution that all IT and non-IT professionals understand. That is the instruction C4Real received from Achmea. This resulted in the Achmea Metropolis; Achmea's digital IT city with a fully interactive experience and storyline in Virtual Reality.
Visualizing such an extremely complex IT landscape in VR has never been done before. It is one of the first real business cases of VR technology in the field of change management in the IT sector. Without extensive IT knowledge, the whole thing was impossible to oversee, but that changed with Metropolis. Even employees who do not work in the IT department now understand what is happening when in Achmea's systems. It's a giant leap forward from the boring and complex IT architecture boards on the wall, where every section has the same colour and you have no idea what you're looking at. Thanks to MetroPolis, people become enthusiastic about the way Achmea works and how IT works. Employees can now really experience this.
