The challenge: a coporate film that makes an impact

Dura Vermeer. A prominent national family business with activities in the fields of housing, non-residential construction, infrastructure and engineering. It is a company that has existed for over 165 years. C4Real was commissioned to make a corporate film for the group in which the motivations of Dura Vermeer are central. This was not to show the stakeholders and clients all the construction projects that Dura Vermeer builds, most people know that, but to tell the whys and the value behind the Dura Vermeer story.

How do you show the world what really matters?

With an impactful corporate film

To make an impact, a corporate film must first and foremost tell a story (storytelling). The film is often shown by the company to stakeholders and customers and they need to get a sense of what the company is and what it stands for. Good storytelling helps to not only captivate the audience, but also to make a statement about yourself. For Dura Vermeer, it's not about short-term projects and making a quick profit. No, it is about the long term, creating value with themes such as sustainability, pleasant and healthy living and working, digitisation, diversity and inclusion, innovation and a safe infrastructure. We think together with the customer and work together with partners on tomorrow's society.

Committed, professional and clear

C4Real has designed its process with a concept and production phase after the intake. During the entire process there is continuous coordination. Glenn Metselaar, Head of Corporate Communications at Dura Vermeer: "You also have to have a click with each other. I think it is important to have a good sparring partner who dares to question things and enter into dialogue. I find this at C4Real. They are very involved and work with a lot of enthusiasm in a pleasant and professional way'".

Glenn continues: "On the basis of the briefing we first work on a concept. With a script, storyboard and style frames you know exactly what you're getting in the concept phase. That's how you agree with each other and with the storyboards, among other things, it is easy to convey it to the stakeholders internally. Also in the execution, when it comes to the actors, the music, the locations, etc.; all aspects are well thought through during the process. Finally, there is a clear 'final close': this is how we do it and we stick to the plan. This prevents extra costs from having to be incurred later on and you from being faced with surprises. This is not the case with C4Real. They have never missed a deadline!"

De corporate value film

The end result

The corporate value film tells the story of a family. A family that comes into contact with Dura Vermeer projects on a daily basis, at home, at work and on the road. The world changes and never seems to stand still. This requires continuous adaptation, agility and the improvement of everything around us for that better world. The corporate film consists of a film production in which an extensive film crew of director, cameraman, production manager, head of lighting and technology etc. was employed and shot with Hi Q camera equipment. The film images were then upgraded with 3D films and motion graphics. The whole is supported by a directed voice-over and a piece of music composed entirely for this film.
